Roman Chivalry Club
Who We Are
A fellowship of men committed to the timeless ideals of honour, discipline, and brotherhood — rooted in the classical tradition.
Our Story
Founded on Principle
The Roman Chivalry Club was established by a small group of like-minded men who believed that the virtues of the ancient world — courage, integrity, loyalty, and excellence — had not lost their relevance in the modern age.
What began as informal gatherings in Geelong has grown into a structured fellowship, drawing members from across Victoria who share a commitment to self-improvement, classical learning, and genuine camaraderie.
We take our inspiration from the Roman ideal of the vir bonus — the good man — and from the chivalric tradition that carried those values into the medieval world and beyond. Our club is a living continuation of that lineage.
What We Stand For
Our Pillars
Respectus
Respect
We treat every man — member or guest — with the dignity befitting a gentleman of the Roman tradition. Respect is not earned through rank alone; it is extended freely and upheld always.
Paenitentia
Repent
We hold ourselves accountable. When we fall short of our standard, we acknowledge it, make it right, and rise stronger. Humility in failure is the mark of a man of character.
Gradus
Grade
We believe in measured progress — in setting a standard and striving to meet it. Every member is on a journey of self-improvement, and we honour each step forward.
Demonstrare
